Absence diminishes mediocre passions and increases great ones, as the wind extinguishes candles and fans fires.

I love this quote! Being a hopless romantic my entire life gives me great insight into this word.
It must have been a special meaning to me at a time of crisis.

This sketch was done at age 12. I do think it is profound at how complex I made it. Ha... I love to laugh at myself:) Makes me happy. This piece makes me smile.

(07.20.10)Wow, how do you still have artwork from when you were 12?
(07.20.10)Yes, Dave you are an artist :) I've always known that. You can teach someone to use software or equipment but you can not teach someone to have an artistic eye- you either have that or you don't. You do. Keep creating.
Its hard to keep going with it. I feel alone with my creations. When I try and share, people don't understand me. I have this dream I will be able to share all my thoughts completly without judgement. Well glad you guys like it:)
(07.21.10)An instinct/concept so basic yet forever complex. Truly profound, love it. Thanks for sharing!
(07.21.10)Art is unique in that that artist creates to please him/herself and you don't have to worry about what anyone else thinks- as long as you enjoy it. I think in general people don't really "know what they like", they simply "like what they know"- things that they have been exposed to and they are familiar with. Don't ever evaluate your work by what others think.
(07.21.10)WOW! You hit that on the money... "in general don't really "know what they like", no kidding!!
